Position: Shop Support

Overview

Position Summary:

Shop Support is an intermediate level position and is responsible for producing cabinet and furniture components by operating production equipment and performing assembly tasks in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role supports efficient manufacturing flow and consistent product quality.

Qualifications and

Physical Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cabinet door building and/ or assembly required.
  • Experience operating CNC machinery and edge banding equipment preferred
  • Ability to read work orders, measurements, and basic technical drawings
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in component and cabinet production
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and production standards
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
  • Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during the shift
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance)
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Must have an approved background check.
  • Must maintain a substance-free working environment.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Manufacture cabinet and furniture components according to production plans and specifications.
  • Operate CNC machinery to cut, drill, and process parts; load materials and monitor machine operation.
  • Apply edge banding accurately and consistently to finished components, ensuring quality appearance and durability.
  • Assemble cabinet doors per design specifications, maintaining alignment, fit, and finish standards.
  • Install hardware, shelves, drawer slides, and related components into cabinet boxes.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
