Position: Mécanicien Poids Lourd et véhicule léger(H/F)

Mechanic PL/VL Job

The PL/VL mechanic ensures the proper functioning, reliability, and safety of vehicles used in transport and operational activities. They contribute to ensuring their operational availability through preventive and corrective maintenance operations.

Maintenance and repair:

  • Performs maintenance, upgrades, and renovation of mechanical equipment, installations, and machinery (motorcycles, quads, cars, heavy machinery).
  • Proceeds with repairs: changing parts, disassembly for adjustment, waste management after wear.
  • Performs daily preventive maintenance (cleaning, greasing, adjustment, tightening).
  • Checks and lubricates machines daily, respecting greasing and lubrication deadlines.
  • Checks the condition of conveyor belts.

Production and monitoring:

  • Monitors the operation of the factory and all processing procedures.
  • Provides technical support to production, quality, and maintenance services.

Quality and safety:

  • Checks the condition of machines and controls leaks.
  • Informs managers of any anomalies detected.
  • Applies cleaning and disinfection procedures.
  • Strictly adheres to safety standards and regulations.

Mechanical stock management:

  • Manages stock with the warehouse/logistics: inventories, minimum/maximum thresholds, anomaly alerts, rotation.
  • Optimizes stock levels and secures critical parts.
  • Ensures communication between procurement and logistics (incoming/outgoing flows, discrepancies, emergencies).

Skills and specific conditions:

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of engine operation principles.
  • Expertise in mechanics, electromechanical, and hydraulics.
  • Use of measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and procedures (ISO).
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance: greasing, lubrication, tightening, cleaning.
  • Diagnosis and repair of leaks, conveyor belts, and machinery (heavy trucks, motorcycles, quads).

Attitude:

  • Strict adherence to safety standards (HSE).
  • Autonomy and initiative in daily machine monitoring.
  • Observation skills to detect and report anomalies.
  • Team spirit.
  • Adaptability to demanding schedules and conditions.
  • Reliability in managing waste and repairs.

Training and qualifications:

  • Bac, Bac+2, DUT in maintenance, mechanics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in a mining or industrial environment.

Work time:

35 hours/week Shift work (2x8, 3x8, 5x8, etc.)

Required license:

B mention 79.06 (= EB)
