The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Nursing to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care within healthcare facilities. This position involves overseeing nursing staff, coordinating clinical operations, and implementing policies that promote patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. The Assistant Director of Nursing collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care plans and improve patient outcomes.

Additionally, this role requires managing staffing schedules, facilitating professional development, and addressing any clinical or administrative challenges that arise. Ultimately, the Assistant Director of Nursing contributes to creating a positive work environment that fosters excellence in nursing practice and patient satisfaction.

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
• Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Five years experience in Nursing (preferably in an outpatient setting); two years of supervisory experience
• Current CPR certification
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare management software.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
• Coordinate daily nursing operations to ensure efficient patient care delivery and optimal resource utilization.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Manage staffing schedules to maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and address staffing shortages promptly.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, patients, and families to address concerns and improve communication.
• Support the Director of Nursing in budgeting, reporting, and strategic planning activities.

The Assistant Director of Nursing utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage nursing teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff.
