Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum

Location: Pendleton, OR

Agency: United Health Care Staffing, Inc.

Pay: $2,600 to $2,800 per week

Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Start Date: 7/6/2026

About the Position

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Nursery placement in Pendleton, Oregon (97801). Contract position for 13 weeks, starting July 6, 2026.

Hours per Week: 36. Shift type: rotating day and night 12‑hour shifts (7:00 AM‑7:00 PM or 7:00 PM‑7:00 AM), block scheduling, every other weekend.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including monitoring and supporting through delivery.
  • Manage postpartum care for mothers and newborns, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Care for routine and intermediate nursery patients, including stabilization and transfer if needed.
  • Titrate drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin as ordered.
  • Serve as charge nurse and coordinate unit activities.
  • Float to other units as a helping hand when census allows.
  • Utilize FE Centricity fetal monitoring system.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Labor and delivery nursing care.
  • Postpartum and newborn assessment.
  • Routine and intermediate nursery management.
  • Drip titration (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin).
  • Fetal monitoring (FE Centricity).
  • Charge nurse leadership.
  • Floating and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Active Oregon RN license or eligibility for 90‑day emergency license.
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications.
  • Strong experience in L&D, postpartum, and nursery care.
  • Ability to work independently and be a reliable backup for teammates.
  • Comfort with drip titration and managing both labor and postpartum patients.
  • Charge nurse experience preferred.
