Position Type: Full Time, 36 hours/week, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am, 12-hour shifts, variable scheduled days
As a member of the orthopedic and joint replacement center of excellence specialty unit, you’ll care for patients with both surgical and non-surgical musculoskeletal conditions, including those with fractures, traumatic injuries, degenerative diseases, congenital disorders, infections, and total joint replacements. You’ll be part of the first unit in Oregon to earn a center of excellence disease specific certification from the Joint Commission for both total hip and total knee replacements.
Your work will be supported by a strong interdisciplinary team, including nursing, acute therapies, RN navigators, care management, and medical providers whose collaboration drives exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.
- Perform accurate, ongoing, and relevant assessments for each assigned patient.
- Deliver patient care competently in alignment with individualized care plans.
- Plan and coordinate patient transfers or discharges to the appropriate level of care.
- Collaborate proactively with the healthcare team and patient families.
- Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses clearly and accurately.
- Anticipate patient needs and communicate effectively with team members.
- Requires a Bachelor of Science (BSN) or Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing, or non-nursing bachelor's degree with a Master of Science in nursing (MSN). Candidates with an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) or graduate of a diploma RN program are also encouraged to apply; ADN applicants with less than five years of acute care experience will be required to sign an agreement committing to complete their BSN or MSN degree within three years of hire.
- Unencumbered licensure to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Less than one year of nursing experience.
