Summary

The District Clinical Support Manager plays a crucial role in providing clinical oversight, guidance, and support across multiple long‑term care facilities within a district. This role bridges the gap between corporate directives and on‑ground implementation, ensuring consistent high‑quality care delivery and adherence to regulatory standards. The District Clinical Support Manager collaborates closely with facility administrators, clinical staff, and corporate leadership to optimize resident care outcomes, staff education, and regulatory compliance.

Clinical Oversight
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to facility administrators and staff in the delivery of resident care.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of clinical processes, documentation, and resident outcomes to identify areas for improvement.

  • Implement evidence‑based practices and guidelines to enhance the quality of care and resident satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs.

Staff Education and Training
  • Develop and deliver educational programs and training sessions for clinical staff on topics such as infection control, wound care, medication management, and resident safety.

  • Keep abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in clinical care, and disseminate relevant information to staff.

  • Provide mentorship and support to new clinical staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their roles.

Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure facilities within the district adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations related to long‑term care services.

  • Collaborate with facility leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote regulatory compliance and quality assurance.

  • Prepare facilities for regulatory surveys and inspections, conducting mock surveys and addressing any identified deficiencies proactively.

Quality Improvement Initiatives
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing resident care, safety, and satisfaction.

  • Collect and analyze data related to clinical outcomes, resident satisfaction, and quality indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Work collaboratively with facility teams to develop and implement action plans to address areas needing improvement and monitor progress over time.

Interdepartmental Collaboration
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between clinical, administrative, and support departments within facilities. Serve as a liaison between facility staff and corporate leadership, conveying concerns, suggestions, and updates to promote transparency and alignment.

  • Participate in divisional meetings, committees, and task forces to contribute insights and recommendations for organizational improvement.

Clinical Oversight (State Specific)
  • Is aware and knowledgeable of the rules and regulations for Assisted Living and Memory Care in the state in which employed as well as the regulations of the state’s nursing commission.

  • Oversees the coordination of the health care services using the clinical QA tools.

Summary of

Minimum Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

  • Prior experience in long‑term care or geriatric nursing, with a minimum of 3‑5 years of clinical experience.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards governing long‑term care facilities.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and quality improvement methodologies.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.

  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.

  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, surveyors, and the general public.
