Windsor Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Director of Nursing (DNS) to manage the day‑to‑day operations, activities and success of the resident care staff. It validates that the Nursing Department continues to develop and maintain high standards for excellence.

• Develop and maintain a nursing service philosophy, objectives, standards of practice, policy and process manuals.
• Establish systems for care planning, including assessments, plan of treatment, objectives and goals, evaluations and discharge planning.
• Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, coach, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of certification laws and requirements, survey requirements and the Medicare program.
• Validate that reporting departments consistently meet state and federal requirements for long‑term care facilities for licensure, and ensure existence of a quality assurance program for nursing services and coordinate an interdisciplinary quality assurance program.
• Direct the functions and activities of the ED in the Director’s absence.

• Required:
  
  Current Registered Nursing license in Oregon.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred:
  Certification in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing.
• Preferred:
  Minimum two years’ experience as a nursing services supervisor in a long‑term care setting.
