Salary Range: $10,047 - $13,576 (full‑time). Part‑time salary prorated.

About the Job – Your Role
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans.
  • Manage infections, sprains, and uncomplicated fractures; suture wounds not involving major vessels, nerves, or tendons.
  • Recommend appropriate food supplements, over‑the‑counter medications, and prescribe antibiotics and other authorized drugs.
  • Refer cases beyond scope to physicians or specialists per established protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams inside corrections and with community organizations to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and maintain open communication with all care providers.
  • Accurately document clinical encounters in the electronic health record system.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license (APRN‑NP, FNP) and Registered Nurse license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Knowledge of advanced primary‑care principles, evidence‑based clinical guidelines, and management of chronic and acute conditions common in correctional health.
  • Familiarity with trauma‑informed care, patient confidentiality requirements, and ethical considerations specific to correctional settings.
  • Competence in comprehensive physical assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating differential diagnoses.
  • Capability to respond to urgent and emergent medical situations and coordinate with custody staff and emergency medical services.
  • Ability to exercise clinical judgment, prioritize competing demands, and make appropriate referrals to specialty or higher‑level care.
  • Proficiency in documenting encounters efficiently using an electronic health record.
  • Strong collaborative skills within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
