American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day shift assignment requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic charting proficiency.

• Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekday scheduled shifts are 10 hours with weekday night call shifts of 8 hours from
• Weekend scheduled and call shifts range from 10-12 hours
• Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts required per 6-week schedule
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses Epic charting system
• May float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital approximately 15 minutes away

• Active OR RN license required (pending acceptable at time of submission per facility policy)
• Current CNA license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Robust OR RN experience at a Level I or II trauma hospital strongly preferred in lieu of travel experience

• Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across a range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, neurology, vascular, and trauma cases
• Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako preferred
• Familiarity with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Steris equipment
• Knowledge of infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and Universal Protocol time-out procedures required
• Must complete facility-required training modules pre-start and annually, which vary by specialty
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply given strong OR experience
• Former permanent employees are ineligible to apply for travel positions within the health system for six months following termination of employment
• RTO must be finalized at time of consideration; additional RTO requests after submission may result in removal from consideration or contract cancellation
• Facility does not accommodate block scheduling
• Facility prefers to book candidates 3-4 weeks from the current date
