American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week Operating Room assignment requiring 2 years of experience, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.
Details- Operating Room department within a hospital setting
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Weekday scheduled shifts of 10 hours and weekday night call shifts of 8 hours (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Weekend scheduled and call shifts of 10-12 hours
- Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule
- Epic charting system required
- Floating required within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital located approximately 15 minutes away
- Active RN license (Oregon RN license pending is acceptable at time of submission)
- Oregon CNA license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Robust OR RN experience at a Level I or II trauma hospital preferred
- Prior charge nurse experience preferred
- Support a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, oral, neurology, trauma, podiatry, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and thoracic procedures
- Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako Surgical System preferred
- Perform key OR responsibilities including blood product administration, infection control, specimen handling, and Universal Protocol time-out procedures
- Adherence to emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia management
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent employees of the health system are ineligible to apply for six months following termination of employment
- Candidates may only be submitted to one position within this health system
- Facility does not accommodate block scheduling
- RTO must be finalized prior to consideration, with additional RTO requests after that point potentially resulting in removal from consideration
