We are hiring for one full-time, permanent position located in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

The goal of this recruitment is to fill the position at the Natural Resource Specialist 2 (NRS2) level. However, we encourage candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for the Natural Resource Specialist 1 (NRS1) ($4,519-$6,276/mo.) to apply, as the department may consider under filling the position.

In this role, you will be tasked with advancing ODFW priorities for fish screening, fish passage and aquatic restoration efforts in the Klamath Watershed. The position is a critical liaison between project proponents, the fish screening program, fish passage program and Habitat Division. You will be responsible for outreach and providing technical assistance to irrigation districts, water users, watershed councils and conservation groups in the Klamath Basin.

Additionally, you will perform data collection, analysis, and evaluation for potential fish screening and passage projects and associated habitat restoration projects, as well as project coordination.

This position will also require the successful candidate to either possess or obtain an All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Education card and a Boater Education Card within the first 6 months of hire.

  Six years of biological experience performing studies, research, or resource management activities in a fish or wildlife program that included one year of at least two of the following: gathering data, analyzing data, or preparing reports
• Option 2:
  Two years of biological experience performing studies, research, or resource management activities in a fish or wildlife program that included one year of at least two of the following: gathering data, analyzing data, or preparing reports, AND a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science, or a closely related Bachelor’s degree with at least 45 quarter (30 semester) hours of biological/ecological coursework
• Option 3:
  One year biological experience performing studies, research, or resource management activities in a fish or wildlife program that included at least two of the following: gathering data, analyzing data, or preparing reports, AND a Master's degree Fisheries or Wildlife…
