Description: Coatings Inspector shall report to the Project Manager or Director of Quality and must be able to work with our onsite Superintendent and Site Safety & Health Officer. The duties include but are not limited to:

• Complete Quality Control Daily Reports
• Receive and maintain Quality Control Inspection records
• Read and understand codes and requirements for Blasting & Painting
• Verify dimensions of product or material to match shop drawings and field conditions
• Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and confer with site management or engineering staff to determine quality standards
• Understand requirements for testing surface preparation, coatings, etc.

Note: This Coatings Inspector position requires the worker to always be on the site during coatings operations. Work will require assistance in daily operations during days of non-inspection. Work will also require work from heights and pre-employment physical.

• AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP Level
  2) Certificate
• Five (5) years of related coatings experience, preferably past bridge Projects
• Experience with TRUQC software, or ability to learn
• Ability to interface effectively with project supervision, safety personnel, management, Government Personnel, and painting personnel
• Ability to read and interpret contract specifications and shop fabrication drawings
