Founded in 2017, Ideal Sushi Supply began as the distribution partner for our affiliated Momiji Sushi Bar & Restaurant locations throughout Oregon. Since then, we have expanded into a growing seafood and restaurant supply company proudly serving restaurants and businesses across our community.
As our company continues to grow, we are currently expanding from a 5,000-square-foot warehouse into a new 20,000-square-foot facility to better support our customers and operations. The Sales Agent is responsible for growing revenue and expanding the customer base for Ideal Sushi Supply by developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing exceptional service to existing accounts. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, promoting company products and services, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Sales Agent serves as a key representative of Ideal Sushi Supply and contributes to the company’s growth through proactive sales efforts, account management, and market development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Identifies, develops, and secures new customer accounts within target markets.
- Maintains and grows existing customer relationships through regular communication and account management.
- Conducts sales calls, customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations as needed.
- Develops a thorough understanding of the company’s products, services, pricing, and competitive advantages.
- Consults with customers to identify needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Prepares quotes, proposals, product recommendations, and pricing information.
- Monitors customer purchasing patterns and identifies opportunities to increase sales and customer retention.
- Resolves customer inquiries, concerns, complaints, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborates with purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Maintains accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, opportunities, and account information within company systems.
- Tracks sales performance, account activity, and customer trends.
- Monitors market conditions, competitor activities, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Assists in forecasting customer demand and communicating market intelligence to management and purchasing teams.
- Supports product launches, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensures customers receive timely communication regarding product availability, pricing changes, and service updates.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism while representing the company.
- Builds long‑term partnerships with customers to strengthen loyalty and business growth.
- Prepares sales reports, forecasts, and presentations as requested.
- Assists colleagues and supports company initiatives whenever opportunities arise.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Attends trade shows, industry events, networking functions, and customer meetings as needed.
- Assists with special projects and business development initiatives.
- Provides support during peak operational periods when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of sales, customer service, business development, and account management.
- Experience in sales, food distribution, food service, seafood, restaurant supply, hospitality, or a related industry preferred.
