Key Responsibilities
  • Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Actively monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
  • Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
  • Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
  • Serve as department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert, keeping site leadership informed on key issues, strategies, and performance.
  • Identify, promote, and implement security best practices while partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, and facilitate incident response planning and management.
  • Conduct domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; work in environments with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather; and continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
  • Cover 24/7 operations and be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Day in the Life

As a Security and Loss Prevention Expert, you will join a team of professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple units within a dedicated geographical area. You perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events. During investigations, you collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews.

Your findings contribute to identifying vulnerabilities and driving mitigating measures. You play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by auditing and monitoring system health, and jointly with subject‑matter experts and external suppliers, maintaining their functionality. You identify and act on initiatives improving our physical security infrastructure and contribute directly to budgeting for external suppliers. You interact daily with external security service providers to ensure high‑quality service and a smooth customer experience, work on high‑impact initiatives, and deliver loss prevention education and awareness programs across all management levels while managing the implementation of the S&LP plan.

WWOS creates and maintains a prepared and secure work environment through policy and implementation guidelines, leadership and staff training, technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation, risk mitigation, and audit compliance.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience.
  • 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement experience, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in implementing metric‑based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts.
  • Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors.
  • 2+ years of operational experience in risk management, audit, data analytics, inventory control, quality assurance, retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery service, or supply chain.
  • Investigative interviewing experience; certifications such as Loss Prevention Qualified, Certified Protection Professional, Certified Forensic Interviewer, Certified Threat Assessment Certification, or related.
  • Workplace incident mitigation or de‑escalation and business continuity planning experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including use of Excel pivot tables and development of charts/graphics.
