Fire Watch Specialist – Temp Assignment

Kelly is hiring Fire Watch Specialists for a temporary assignment with Americold, a leading cold storage and logistics company. This role is ideal for dependable individuals who are comfortable being on their feet, working independently, and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

• Monday – Friday
• 40 hours/week
• Overtime and occasional weekend work as needed
• Available shifts:
• Morning Shift: 6:30 AM start
• Evening Shift: 4:30 PM start

Assignment Length:
Minimum 3 months with potential to extend 6+ months or longer

• Conduct regular patrols throughout a large cold storage facility to monitor for fire hazards
• Walk designated areas including stairwells, corridors, and other facility spaces
• Observe and report any signs of smoke, heat, fire, or safety hazards
• Ensure emergency exits and walkways remain clear
• Maintain accurate patrol logs documenting times, locations, and observations
• Follow emergency procedures and immediately report concerns
• Maintain awareness and remain alert throughout the entire shift

• Ability to walk extended distances throughout the shift (10+ miles per day)
• Comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the workday
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay alert
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently while following safety procedures
• Must be able to pass background screening and drug screening (no THC permitted)

• Long pants
• Closed-toe shoes
• Business-appropriate jeans are acceptable
• Steel-toe or composite footwear preferred (Americold can provide if needed)

• This is not a heavy lifting position
• Primary requirement is walking throughout a large 600,000 sq. ft. facility and maintaining awareness of safety conditions
