Concierge Security Officer
Location: Portland, Oregon
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6 a.m. – 2 p.m., 40 hours
Compensation: $22 per hour (Daily Pay available for Garda World employees)
About the RoleThe Concierge Security Officer focuses on customer service and security in high‑profile environments such as office towers, hotels, and shopping centers. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to engage with visitors and clients, as well as strong supervisory and incident‑management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and verify identity of visitors.
- Control access and conduct regular patrols to identify risks.
- Inspect security equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams.
- Answer questions in person or by phone.
- Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
- Ensure safety and protection of people and property.
- Maintain operational logs, records, and post orders.
- Supervise day‑to‑day security service, ensuring high standards.
- Manage employee schedules and staffing levels.
- Act as liaison between Garda World, the client, and staff.
- Promote a safety culture and maintain a zero‑incident goal.
- Support shift officers and exercise independent judgement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Must pass an extensive screening process.
- Excellent customer‑service skills.
- Basic phone and computer skills.
- Prior security, military, or law‑enforcement experience is preferable.
- Minimum 1 year of security‑supervising experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be 21 or older.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening conducted after an offer of employment has been extended.
