Armed Security Officer Job Overview

Pac-Tac Protective Solutions is hiring Armed Protection Officers for assignments in the Portland and Southwest Washington area. Work locations may include the Portland/Vancouver metro area and Salem. Both part-time and full-time opportunities are listed.

• Pay: $31.50–$45.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and assignment
• Employment:
  Part time or full time
• Locations:
  Portland, Oregon;
  Vancouver, Washington; and Salem, Oregon
• Travel:
  Up to 25% preferred

• Protect retail locations
• Provide security for high-end luxury apartment communities
• Perform secured transports and standbys for a government client
• Work plainclothes details
• Staff armed posts, with possible armed patrol assignments

• At least three years of verifiable law-enforcement experience
• Qualifying backgrounds may include sworn police, reserve police, military police, corrections, or parole and probation
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Oregon Armed Security License preferred; candidates must be able to obtain it as a condition of employment
• Washington Armed Certification preferred; candidates must be able to obtain it as a condition of employment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Availability for day, night, and overnight shifts

Available schedules may include 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts; day or night shifts; holidays; on-call coverage; overtime; and weekends as needed.
