As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Salem, OR
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service to riders, visitors, and staff. You will document observations and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, platforms, vehicle access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and maintain clear communication with appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
