Service Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Service Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing dairy equipment at customer sites while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently in agricultural and farm environments.

This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with equipment, and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair dairy and farm equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system issues and perform repairs
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative service
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment operation and repairs
• Accurately complete service reports, work orders, and documentation
• Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Work independently and collaborate with team members as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience as a service technician, maintenance technician, or mechanic preferred
• Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Basic math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working in farm and agricultural environments
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain good attendance
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including overtime or on-call rotation as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various weather conditions
• Comfortable working around livestock and farm equipment
