We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team, focusing on conveyor equipment and gear boxes. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair broken down equipment. Experience with MIG welding, used in fabrication and maintenance, is essential.
Responsibilities- Work on conveyor equipment and gear boxes.
- Diagnose and repair broken down equipment.
- Perform MIG welding for fabrication and maintenance.
- Weld and fabricate equipment as needed.
- Repair structural members or parts using various welding techniques.
- Fabricate parts based on job scope or projects.
- Operate vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts.
- Gather and analyze information to solve problems.
- Inspect equipment and materials for defects.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with MIG welding and maintenance.
- Mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with conveyor maintenance.
- Prefer experience working on gear boxes.
- Electrical knowledge (12/24V) is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read mechanical prints is preferred.

Work EnvironmentThe role requires physical attendance at the worksite, which includes a large, uncovered yard. Candidates must be comfortable working in the elements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr.
