Field Technician

Papé Machinery Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to service agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment across the Western U.S. Based from our Eugene-area operations, you'll diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment is safe and job-ready. This role combines hands-on technical work with strong customer interaction, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on agricultural and construction equipment
• Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections in the field and shop
• Use diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and service software to troubleshoot equipment
• Document work performed, parts used, and repair recommendations accurately
• Communicate clearly with customers on repair needs, timelines, and safe equipment operation
• Collaborate with parts and service teams to ensure timely, accurate repairs
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations on customer sites
• Maintain company tools, service truck, and equipment in safe, clean condition
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications on key equipment brands
