Cool Sys is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Installation professional to install, retrofit, and start up HVAC systems for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. In this field-based role, you'll interpret plans, set and pipe equipment, install ductwork, and ensure code-compliant, energy-efficient operation. You'll work on diverse, mission-critical sites with a safety-first, customer-focused team. Cool Sys provides technical training, advancement opportunities, and exposure to advanced HVAC-R and energy optimization solutions that support sustainable, reliable building performance nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Install and retrofit commercial and industrial HVAC systems per plans and specifications
  • Set, level, and secure HVAC equipment, including rooftop units and air handlers
  • Install and seal ductwork, registers, grilles, and associated fittings
  • Perform brazing, soldering, and refrigeration piping to industry standards
  • Complete electrical connections and low-voltage wiring for HVAC controls
  • Conduct system start-up, testing, and basic commissioning to verify operation
  • Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards on job sites
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to meet schedules and quality goals
  • Document work performed and communicate equipment or design issues to supervisors
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service while representing Cool
  • Sys on site
