Position Title: Service Technician I-III/Foreman
Employment Status: ☐ Exempt (salaried) or ☒ Nonexempt (hourly)
Pay Range: Based on Service Technical Career Path tier and demonstrated competency
Leadership Designation: Employees who meet Foreman leadership requirements may be designated as a Service Foreman at any technical tier.
Position Purpose and ObjectivesService Technicians are responsible for safely and efficiently performing roofing maintenance, repairs, and specialty work within their demonstrated technical capabilities. They are expected to take ownership of their work, provide quality craftsmanship, protect customer property, communicate effectively, and represent Pfeifer Roofing professionally in the field.
Service Foremen perform these same responsibilities while taking additional ownership of crew leadership, jobsite execution, production, safety, quality, documentation, and communication with the Superintendent and customer.

- Communicate professionally with customers regarding work being performed while avoiding commitments outside the approved scope
- Notify the Foreman or Superintendent of customer questions, concerns, findings, or additional work as appropriate
- Leave the customer's property clean and properly restored at the completion of work
- Foremen: Serve as the primary field contact on the jobsite and communicate professionally with customers regarding daily work, progress, and jobsite conditions
- Follow all Pfeifer Roofing and applicable OSHA safety requirements
- Follow Pfeifer's Four Safety Elements, including proper ladder setup, roof-anchor installation, required PPE, and proper use of fall-arrest systems and ropes
- Inspect and properly use assigned tools, equipment, ladders, vehicles, and safety equipment
- Identify unsafe conditions and immediately correct or communicate concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to reduce jobsite hazards
- Perform only work for which the employee has been properly trained and is technically capable
- Participate in required safety meetings and training
- Foremen: Lead jobsite safety, verify crew compliance, address unsafe behavior or conditions, and communicate safety concerns to the Superintendent
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and individual contribution to project outcomes
- Be dependable, accountable, productive, and prepared to work
- Communicate job progress, findings, additional work, material needs, delays, mistakes, and concerns promptly
- Accurately document work performed, roof conditions, photos, field notes, and relevant customer conversations
- Use required company systems and technology accurately and consistently
- Properly care for company vehicles, tools, equipment, materials, and other resources
- Recognize personal technical limitations and seek assistance rather than performing work outside capability
- Foremen: Take ownership of the job from arrival through completion and ensure accurate communication and documentation between the crew and Superintendent
- Perform assigned work according to Pfeifer Roofing standards and applicable manufacturer requirements
