The Immigration Specialist is responsible for providing immigration support and advocacy to clients in our Salem, Oregon office and assist in outreach and education to the immigrant and refugee community in Oregon.
- Fluency (verbal and written) in both English and Spanish
- Deliver in‑person and phone assistance, manage ongoing client cases, schedule appointments to ensure coordinated and timely service delivery, including case management
- Provide information and advocacy on immigration matters, including Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, Family Reunification, and EOIR
- Maintain accurate, detailed client files and case notes in compliance with program and legal requirements
- Perform legal and administrative support, including document collection, drafting legal documents, translation, trial preparation and organizing case materials, evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items
- Assist clients with supplemental services such as fingerprinting, notary, and photos
- Support program operations through data collection, tracking, reporting, and maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of immigration law and relevant community resources; make appropriate referrals as needed
- Conduct outreach and education to refugee and immigrant communities; demonstrate cultural humility; participate in ongoing training; and complete required accreditation and credentialing within established timelines
- Strict adherence to HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure client confidentiality
- 1 year of related experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Public Notary required within 180 days of hire
- Credentials DOJ accreditation may be required depending on program or location requirements
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written
- Intermediate mastery of business applications and productivity suites
- Resilience, self‑regulation in navigating challenges, conflict, and obstacles

- Moves equipment/materials up to 20 pounds
- Travels between worksites on a regular/occasional basis; works in varied settings including LCSNW office locations, partner agencies, community settings, and faith‑based settings
- Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job‑relevant clearances as required by the state or program
