Certified Flaggers

We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious Certified Flaggers to join our road construction and utility projects throughout Oregon. As the first line of defense for our crew and the public, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient flow of traffic through temporary work zones.

This role requires constant alertness, a commitment to safety regulations, and the ability to work in various outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Traffic Control: Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely through work zones using STOP/SLOW paddles and hand signals.
• Work Zone Setup: Assist in the placement and removal of warning signs, traffic cones, and barricades according to ODOT (Oregon Department of Transportation) standards.
• Communication: Maintain constant radio contact with fellow flaggers and construction leads to coordinate traffic shifts and emergency vehicle access.
• Public Safety: Protect the crew by providing early warnings of distracted or negligent drivers.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and Oregon state-specific safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certification Required: Must possess a current, valid Oregon Flagger Certification card (cards from WA, , and MT are also accepted in Oregon).
• Identification: Must have a valid state-issued  Driver's License.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8–10 hours) and lift/carry up to 50 lbs in all weather conditions (rain, heat, or cold).
• Reliability: Must have dependable transportation to get to various job sites on time.
• Alertness: High level of situational awareness and the ability to react quickly to changing traffic patterns.
