Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Portland, OR— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Ryder employees who drive on this account earn $2,100 or more weekly and the top 10% earn $120k+ per year.
Compensation & Benefits- Paid Weekly
- Hourly base pay $29.00 + $1 for every 3 certifications/endorsements
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
- Hours per week: 40+ hours
- Per diem $50.00 per night
- Overnight stays in company‑booked hotels or sleepers
- Paid travel
- Tenure bonus $1,000 each year from Nov 1 to Oct 31
- Paid training
- Schedule Monday–Friday, must be flexible
- Medical, dental & vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO in first year (use it or get paid)
- Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided
- 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria)

Day cab or sleeper, straight truck - Trailer types:
Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed 28’, 48’, 53’ - Equipment:
Electric pallet jack - Flatbed: 6–9 months experience required
- Doubles: 3 months experience required
- Able to accept automatic restrictions
- Freight:
Combination of touch and no touch freight - Trucks: 36 months or newer, 24/7 roadside maintenance with fueling at 800+ nationwide locations
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years
- Pass DOT physical
- Pass Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Verifiable Class A experience: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within last 5 years, OR 5 years within last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
