Supply Specialist, Food and Nutrition Services (Supply Specialist
2) - Oregon State Hospital, Salem Campus
The Supply Specialist 2 supports the warehousing and storeroom operations of Food and Nutrition Services by receiving, storing, issuing, and distributing food and non‑food supplies. This position manages stocking and organizing products, fulfilling daily supply needs, maintaining accurate records and documentation, assisting with inspections, receiving incoming shipments, and entering daily receipts and purchases into the computer system. The person also participates in inventory counts, physical inventories, and reconciles inventory records.
Responsibilities- Receive, store, issue, and distribute food and non‑food supplies.
- Stock and organize products to meet daily supply needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Assist with inspections and ensure compliance.
- Enter daily receipts and purchases into the computer system.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory records.
- Three years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience with purchasing, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.
- Valid Oregon Forklift Operator Certification (agency will assist with training) and Food Handler’s Card.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
- At least one year of keyboarding and computer operations experience.
- Strong communication skills via phone, fax, and e‑mail.
- Knowledge of State of Oregon purchasing and contracting policies and procedures.
- Experience with computerized and manual purchasing, receiving, and inventory systems.
- Proficiency in operating common office devices and equipment.
- Experience operating warehouse material moving equipment.
