Job Overview
Position: CFO Executive Assistant (Executive Support Specialist
2), full‑time, permanent, Department of Administrative Services, Oregon. Salary range $4,308 - $5,983 per month. Position type:
Employee. Initial Posting Date: 06/26/2026. Final date to receive applications: 07/05/2026.
- Provide executive‑level support to the Chief Financial Officer and all teams within the policy sections of OSC, SABRS, and CFPS.
- Administer and coordinate office operations and statewide budget communications.
- Represent the CFO to state agencies, the Legislature, its offices, other elected officials, and external stakeholders.
- Support the CFO in interactions with state agencies and the Legislature.
- Minimum:
One year of experience performing administrative duties in support of agency projects or programs. - Qualifying experience that includes data collection and analysis; project evaluation and/or analysis; interpretation and application of laws, rules, and regulations; or similar experience.
- Prior experience in state or local government programs providing administrative support.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines with a high volume and changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook. - Ability to perform administrative support functions requiring independent judgment, organizational skills, decision‑making, and problem resolution.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a variety of people at all levels, maintaining confidentiality as required.
- Knowledge of research techniques sufficient to collect, analyze, interpret, and report data in narrative and statistical formats.
- Eligible veterans and Oregon National Guard service members (current and former) qualify for candidate preference.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Employee will be required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee resides or provide an acceptable form of transportation.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience providing executive support to Directors, Administrators, Executives and similar C‑Suite roles, with prior knowledge and experience in budget development and legislative processes.
