Administrative Specialist 2 – Sex Offender Registration Unit

Salary

$4,308 - $5,984

Summary of

Job Duties

Maintain, research, and verify offender registration documents to ensure the sex offender registry meets state and federal statutory requirements.

Interpret laws, rules, policies, and procedures to determine registration obligations and compliance.

Take action to protect the public, including releasing information when it is of public interest.

Work independently with general supervision.

Minimum Qualifications /Eligibility Requirements
  • Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis.
  • OR an associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize a variety of resources and independent judgment to make an informed decision.
  • Experience conducting research and trying different approaches to solve complex problems.
  • Experience with interpreting laws, rules, and program policies and ability to adapt quickly to evolving changes.
  • Demonstrated moderate proficiency with Microsoft programs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to provide technical information in a clear, effective, and professional manner.
