The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) full‑time, permanent Administrative Specialist 2 position. This is an in‑office position without a remote or hybrid work schedule.

Summary ofJob Duties
Provide administrative support to section directors, compliance managers, and staff to fulfill the requirements and obligations related to Tribal/State Gaming compacts, Minimum Internal Control Standards, and related policies, rules, and procedures.
Interpret and apply Tribal/State Gaming compacts, federal and state laws, and relevant rules and policies in connection with background investigations, shipments of sensitive items, approval of new casino table games, and training of the section’s professional staff.
Manage the section’s administrative functions, including maintaining databases that support all compliance programs.
Minimum Qualifications- Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and collecting and analyzing administrative data.
- OR an associate degree in general office occupations and two years of relevant experience.
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Administrative experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt, plan, organize, and multi‑task to ensure completion of projects, tasks, and assignments with multiple competing priorities.
- Skilled in technical and administrative support functions requiring independent judgment, decision making, and problem resolution.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic research skills sufficient to collect, analyze, interpret, and report data in both narrative and statistical formats, and ability to apply laws, rules, policies, and procedures to specific situations.
- Must be LEDs certified or able to obtain certification upon hire.
