Mid Level Automotive Technician - Salem, VA

About the Role

As a Mid‑Level Automotive Technician in a Goodyear service center, you will diagnose and repair vehicle systems while providing exceptional guest service. You will learn line technician services including routine inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges, alignments, and tire installation.

• Perform line technician services, routine inspections, maintenance, system diagnostics, and problem solving.
• Conduct brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, wheel alignments, and tire installation.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service; provide clear communication and feedback about vehicles.
• Guide and mentor junior automotive technicians.
• Document all work performed on the repair order.
• Report any safety issues immediately to management.
• Promote teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and minimum age 18.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Commitment to learning new automotive technologies.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions.
• Commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ASE Certification.
• Experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests.
• Experience with electrical, air conditioning, primary and advanced fuel ignition systems.
