Compensation$3,515 – $4,738 per month (base salary). PERS eligibility provides an increase of 6.95% after 6 months. The salary range is non‑PERS. Eligible Spanish‑bilingual candidates receive a 5% wage premium.
Position OverviewThe role is located in the Workers’ Compensation Division and acts as the first point of contact for the public regarding workers’ compensation inquiries. Responsibilities include telephone and in‑person service, administrative support, research using electronic systems, and clerical tasks.
Responsibilities- Provide frontline customer service to the public and internal customers concerning Workers’ Compensation and DCBS matters.
- Respond to telephone and in‑person inquiries, triage and route them appropriately.
- Perform general office tasks including scheduling, data entry, and taking meeting minutes.
- Conduct research using electronic systems to answer questions about regulations, policies, and program processes.
- Interact with stakeholders via web‑based and telephonic means.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of interactions.
- Minimum two years of customer service experience.
- One year of that experience must include explaining rules, regulations, or policies and handling unique or unusual situations.
- Fluent Spanish speaking, reading, writing, and interpreting skills (bilingual).
- Spanish bilingual proficiency (5% wage premium).
- Reception or front‑desk experience.
- Experience using multi‑line phone systems.
- Administrative task experience (scheduling, minutes, data entry).
- Strong organizational skills.
