Elementary School Teacher (2 Positions) - Oregon School for the Deaf

Location:

Salem, Oregon.

Salary: $59,604 - $107,604 annually (based on education and experience).

This role is central to preparing deaf and hard-of-hearing students for college and the workforce. Teachers provide individualized services and instruction tailored to each student's needs, fostering skill development.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering instruction across curriculum levels tailored to assigned students each year.
• Supervising students during special activities and supporting those facing emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Collaboration with teaching assistants, volunteers, college practicum students, or student teachers, including occasional training.
• Preparing students for higher education or the workforce through tailored services and instruction.

• Oregon Teaching License or Certificate for teaching deaf/hard-of-hearing students, or ability to obtain by start date.
• ASL proficiency Level 3 (ASLPI) or better; certification required within 12 weeks of hire.
