Sign‑on Bonus
: $2,000. $1,000 payable after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days.
Job Title: Electric Power Generation (EPG) Rental Technician
The EPG Rental Technician is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing EPG rental equipment for power, temperature control, air, pumps and used equipment at a Carter or customer facility, by performing the following duties.
Requirements for the EPG Rental Technician position include:
- Must have a thorough understanding of Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, and pumps
- Must be able to perform product improvement plans on Gensets, air compressors, fuel tanks, pups, UPS and paralleling
- Must be able to work independently in the field as needed to support all PSD rental equipment
- Must have advanced troubleshooting skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Must be a strong communicator with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be well organized and have the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service
- Be available for after‑hours emergency service requests for customers; 24/7/365
- Must be able to work additional hours as required and travel out of town, including out of the country to meet customers’ demands
- Experience in the use and application of electronic software
- Must have an excellent driving record required with the ability to obtain a CDL and/or DOT certification

Seeking Candidates with:
- Previous experience with UPS and parallels, diagnosing and troubleshooting engine failures and performing mechanical repairs to electrical generator systems and related equipment
- High school diploma or GED, required
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit
- Regularly lift and/or more up to 70 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
