Team Lead - Accounts Payable

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of invoice processors and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Allocate workloads, set priorities, and monitor daily/weekly team performance.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to team members for continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular team meetings and 1:1 discussions for performance review and development.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoice entry, coding, approval, and payment processing.
• Maintain compliance with VAT regulations, local tax laws, and company financial policies.
• Review and resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate payments, and blocked invoices.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
• Act as a point of contact for escalations from internal stakeholders and vendors.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support or lead regional projects for system enhancements (e.g., SAP).
• Monitor KPIs such as invoice cycle time, accuracy rate, and backlog levels.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards for management review.
• Ability to take customer calls with fluency and handle queries professionally.

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable / Invoice Processing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication across multicultural teams and regions.
• Fluent in English communication.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Strong understanding of VAT rules and intercompany billing.
• Advanced Excel skills.

• Flexible to work in customer shifts (Day, Evening, and Night shifts).
