Compliance Specialist 1 - Ignition Interlock Device (IID) Program

The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring a full time, permanent Compliance Specialist 1. The position is in office only.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing IID service center applicants and inspecting service center sites.
• Processing vendor and service center applications and certifications.
• Providing guidance and enforcing rules to service centers and technicians to ensure compliance with Oregon Revised Statutes and Oregon Administrative Rules.
• Handling consumer complaints and updating the IID website.
• Responding to phone and email inquiries regarding IID services and directing potential criminal or child welfare issues to law enforcement.
• Occasional in and out of state travel.

• Two years of experience conducting administrative research, including compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action or determine eligibility or compliance with program guidelines and regulations. College level coursework may substitute for the required experience on a 45 quarter units per year basis.

• Excellent customer service to a diverse audience.
• Research and analysis of law enforcement programs and best practices.
• Experience in a high performing team or organization.
• Strong written communication skills for professional reports, briefings, and technical information.
• Ability to independently organize, prioritize, manage deadlines, and produce high quality work.

• Valid Oregon driver's license and qualification to drive a state owned vehicle.

The selection process consists of an interview.
