Job Summary

As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in protecting patient safety and supporting life‑saving care through precision and attention to detail. In this rewarding role, you will be a vital part of our team – helping surgical staff deliver safe, effective care by ensuring every instrument and supply is clean, prepared, and ready when it is needed most.

Responsibilities
  • The CSS Technician is responsible for receiving, cleaning, processing, assembly and distribution of medical supplies, equipment and surgical instruments.
  • The CSS Technician is responsible for acquiring, distributing and charging for all disposable supplies and patient rental equipment.
  • Prepares, assembles and packages all medical equipment and instruments for surgery and other hospital departments including the restocking of code carts and isolation carts using the exchange cart system.
  • Sterilizes all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentation, and maintains and operates Central Sterile equipment.
  • Handles, transports and stores sterile equipment, instruments and supplies and pulls supplies and instruments for surgical cases using the case cart system.
  • Helps direct the workflow in Central Sterile Supply, setting priorities and meeting deadlines for the department.
Qualifications
  • Required – Previous Experience as a CSS Technician.
  • Required – High School or equivalency.
  • Required – Certified Sterile Processing Technician or Certified Regional Central Service Technician and maintain certification throughout employment.
