Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at the Cardiovascular Operating Room in Salem, VA. As a full-time, permanent employee, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures.

• - Prepare operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
• - Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies
• - Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout surgery
• - Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary supplies and equipment
• - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• - Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for sterilization
• - Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
• - Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures
• - Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
• - Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training

• - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• - Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting
• - Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
• - Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• - Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• - Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move heavy equipment
• - Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed
