Responsibilities
- Work primarily with field staff with new technology and support of devices, fostering innovation to perform daily job functions.
- Provide agency‑specific end‑user support throughout Salem District VDOT.
- Offer troubleshooting, problem management, and escalation of issues, and communicate resolutions to customers in a timely manner.
- Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Extensive skill in Microsoft Desktop products (Windows, SharePoint, MS Office Suite, Office 365, MS Teams) – 5+ years.
- Skill in troubleshooting tools and managing desktop/laptop computers and wireless devices – 5+ years.
- Effective verbal and written communication with individuals and groups – 5+ years.
- Experience with help‑desk request tracking and reporting tools – 5+ years.
- Strong customer service skills with a customer‑first attitude – 5+ years.
- Provide computer training for field staff – 5+ years.
- Knowledge of computer/mobile device applications and how they operate in an enterprise environment – 5+ years.
- Experience creating training documentation – 5+ years.
- Knowledge of additional enterprise device management tools and support procedures.
