Onsite Work LocationThis role requires full‑time presence at our Salem, Virginia office.
ResponsibilitiesThe Receiving Coordinator schedules and directs all activities on the receiving dock and communicates with Dispatchers, Carriers and the Transportation team.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that the process of receiving and inspecting goods is consistent with the company’s quality, conformity and Lean Manufacturing standards.
- Training new permanent and temporary personnel to perform job assignments safely and efficiently.
- Inspecting inbound quality of product (pallet, carton and individual unit), reporting labor efficiency (KPI), and maintaining receiving dock/warehouse location accuracy.
- Conducting daily safety meetings to promote awareness.
- Using DSI, JD Edwards and SAP systems.
- Working in other areas of the Salem facility as business dictates.
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Minimum of two years of lead experience or five years of receiving experience.
- Excellent planning, prioritization and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and people skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, power hand jacks and sit‑down counter balance trucks, and to train others.
- Demonstrated ability to use creative thinking to achieve departmental goals.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Compensation & BenefitsThe base pay range for this position is $21.00 per hour, with potential variation based on skills, experience, job‑related knowledge and geographic location. Certain positions may also qualify for short‑term incentives.

Employees receive 3 weeks of vacation (pro‑rated during the first year) and 12 paid holidays per calendar year. Vacation will depend on role.
