Shipping​/Receiving Clerk - 2nd Shift

Adler Pelzer USA is hiring a mid‑level Shipping/Receiving Clerk - 2nd Shift. This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Salem, VA.

Plant Operations

• Knowledge of inventory (FIFO) procedures.
• Maintain adequate safety stock and ensure all finished goods meet customer requirements in quality, quantity, and packaging and labeling.
• Follow operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments and handling of materials.
• Inspect warehouse and equipment and report needed repairs or replacements.
• Ensure forklift is safe to operate by conducting a safety check and completing a forklift check sheet at the start of each shift.
• Support lines with stocked inventory to enable continuous material flow for production.
• Rotate inventory to maintain FIFO.
• Accept assignments and other responsibilities to support team objectives.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area and throughout the plant.
• Adhere to applicable IATF requirements.
• Read and comprehend operational work instructions.
• Lift a minimum of 25 pounds overhead as needed.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Work necessary overtime, including weekends.
• Perform any additional duties assigned to support the plant and its operations.

• 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or forklift operation (required).
• Basic forklift certification and experience operating a forklift (required).
• Intermediate organizational skills.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Team player; works well as a member of a group (required).
• Detail oriented – preferred.
