STS Group is a globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France. The Adler Pelzer Group, a global Tier 1 supplier recently acquired STS group to expand its target market. STS is pioneering operations of Class A surface components for heavy trucks in the USA. We are seeking a motivated and committed Quality Manager to help launch a manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia.
The Quality Manager ensures quality standards are met during the manufacturing process.
- Complete Receiving Inspection per Work Instructions.
- Test realization of pellet specific gravity.
- Test realization of melt flow rate.
- Prepare material test reports.
- Assure check fixture usage.
- Provide maintenance to check fixture devices.
- Perform scrap entry-reporting.
- Complete testing per Work Instructions.
- Complete forms, recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Assist in training new operators to WI’s and customer specification requirements.
- Overtime is sometimes required, which may include weekends.
- Adhere to ISO 14001 requirements.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Adhere to customer specific requirements.
- Execution of layered process audits.

This section is not inclusive. Other duties are assigned as necessary to support team goals.
- 1–2 years of manufacturing quality experience or equivalent.
- Education can be substituted with equivalent experience.
- Licenses & certifications are preferred but not required.
- Problem Solving Skills – Intermediate.
- Organizational skills – Advanced.
- Auditing – Intermediate.

- Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
