Quality Technician - 1st Shift

STS Group is a globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France. The Adler Pelzer Group, a global Tier 1 supplier recently acquired STS group to expand its target market. STS is pioneering operations of Class A surface components for heavy trucks in the USA. We are seeking a motivated and committed Quality Manager to help launch a manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia.

The Quality Manager ensures quality standards are met during the manufacturing process.

• Complete Receiving Inspection per Work Instructions.
• Test realization of pellet specific gravity.
• Test realization of melt flow rate.
• Prepare material test reports.
• Assure check fixture usage.
• Provide maintenance to check fixture devices.
• Perform scrap entry-reporting.
• Complete testing per Work Instructions.
• Complete forms, recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Assist in training new operators to WI’s and customer specification requirements.
• Overtime is sometimes required, which may include weekends.
• Adhere to ISO 14001 requirements.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Adhere to customer specific requirements.
• Execution of layered process audits.

• 1–2 years of manufacturing quality experience or equivalent.
• Education can be substituted with equivalent experience.
• Licenses & certifications are preferred but not required.
• Problem Solving Skills – Intermediate.

• Auditing – Intermediate.
