CNC Machine Operator

Chase Staffing is hiring a CNC Machine Operator for a facility in Salem, VA. Position: 1st Shift. Pay: $19–20 per hour.

• Operate machine tools to produce precision metal parts with little to no direct supervision.
• Produce small or large quantities of parts from various materials (steel, aluminum, HDPE, etc.).
• Ensure products meet precise specifications based on blueprints, sketches, verbal instructions, or worn parts.

• Working knowledge of lathes and mills and a variety of manual equipment; expert level in either lathes or mills or both.
• Expert knowledge of conversational and/or CNC programming.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints found in machine shop work and work from sketches, process sheets, verbal instruction and worn or destroyed parts.
• Knowledge and understanding of machine shop mathematics, including basic algebra and geometry.
• Strong general mechanical skills and possession of some machinist tools.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
