Job Overview
This position supports the manufacturing team to achieve production and customer quality requirements by monitoring operations, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Monitor production and quality metrics, escalating issues to the production supervisor.
- Act as liaison between operators and supervisors to align resources and support associates.
- Perform audits (5S, safety, quality, standardized work) to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Walk the floor, address questions, resolve issues, and assist operators with paperwork, material movement, and quality checks.
- Participate in workshops focused on continuous improvement and new product development programs.
- Lead morning huddles, communicate with associates, and promote an environment of open communication and trust.
- Identify and implement countermeasures, resolve problems, and drive improvements using structured problem‑solving.
- Step in for emergencies and implement countermeasures based on knowledge of jobs and equipment.
- Coordinate cross‑training plans and shift‑change discussions, collect data for production boards.
- Participate in daily production board meetings, explain performance results, and identify causes of misses.
- Create shift summaries and logs to ensure smooth transitions.
- Work with the supervisor and production planning to follow schedules and assign staff based on training and experience.
- Perform other duties as required.
Assist the manufacturing team in achieving its annual goals for safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and people performance.
Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent (GED);
Associate degree in a technical or business‑related field preferred. - Experience performing all jobs in the area being supported.
- Ability to motivate others, teamwork, cooperation, and leadership.
- Passion for excellence and action orientation.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Comfort using computers.
- Minimum hourly pay of $25.
Base wages, a cash‑based incentive program, overtime pay, shift differentials, and call‑in pay. Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life, adoption).
