• Must be willing to work other areas of Women’s Services
• Full Time – 36 hours per week with rotating weekends/holidays
• Night shift – 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Coordinate unit activities and assure accountability of all assigned tasks
• Instruct and educate patients and family members
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems
• Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions
• Registered Nurse with multi-state privilege under the Nurse Licensure Compact and not a permanent Virginia resident
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) must be obtained within 12 months of start date
