Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Full-time, mixed, nights shift (rotating weekends)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

36 hours per week

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree required
• Willingness to cross-train; acute care experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and ensure documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate actions in case of unintended responses.
• Provide exceptional patient care by responding promptly to requests and proactively anticipating patient needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
