Job Summary & QualificationsOccupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence and quality of life after illness or injury. Guided by our mission to care for and improve human life, you will deliver compassionate, evidence‑based therapy tailored to each patient’s unique goals and capabilities. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands‑on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing.

- Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
- Deliver skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
- Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments and exceptional patient experiences.
- Lead by example—provide guidance to therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission, values and commitment to excellence.
- Preferred:
Previous experience in an acute care, outpatient or rehab hospital. - Required:
Graduate from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy (Master’s or Doctorate) or possess a valid Virginia license to practice OT or be in the process of obtaining licensure within 90 days through a traineeship and board exam. - Preferred:
Advanced training in a specialty area related to specific patient populations. - Hours:
Weekends only (Friday–Monday schedule).
