You will assess, develop, and implement individualized care plans, perform wound debridement, and educate patients and caregivers, documenting all care in the electronic medical record (EMR). To qualify, you need a current Virginia RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and at least 2 years of medical-surgical or post-acute nursing experience.

Completion of a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) Society-accredited educational program and certification such as CWOCN, CWON, CWCN, COCN, or CCCN are required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary. Experience with EMR systems and strong clinical assessment skills are essential. Recommended skills include adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to educate and consult with patients and staff on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
