American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and a VA or compact RN license.

• Work on a 36-bed 5E Med/Surg unit in the Main Hospital building
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Unit staffed with a clinical coordinator, RNs, and techs per shift
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
• Meditech EMR used

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• 1 year of recent Med/Surg specialty experience required
• Experience with post-operative patients preferred
• Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide care for post-operative patients including drain maintenance and wound care
• Team-oriented environment valuing positive attitude and strong patient advocacy
• Fast-paced unit requiring adaptability
• Navy blue or white scrubs required; hoodies, pull-overs, and T-shirts not permitted
• Unit recognized for top patient experience scores measured through HCAHPS
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
