UNIT SPECIFICS:

Number of Beds: 17 inpatient, 2 triage
Patient Ratios: 1:1 2
Unit Staffing:
- Secretary on day shift only
- No techs
Type of Equipment:
- Monica Novii
- Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors
- Client EFM
Documentation System:
Meditech, Centricity
Scheduling Requirements: 3 12-hour shifts per week
Floating Policy: MB/Postpartum
Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET, courtesy, and respect

HOSPITAL SPECIFICS

Certifications:

BLS
ACLS
AWHONN Intermediate FM or C-EFM
NRP

HIRING PROFILE

REQUESTED SKILL SET:

IV insertion
Lab draws
JADA and BAKRI knowledge
Blood administration
Nitrous administration
Experience with vaginal examinations
Setting up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries

MUST HAVE:

Labor & Delivery experience
Fetal strip interpretation
Knowledge of common OB medications
C-section circulator experience
PACU recovery experience for spinal anesthesia
Antepartum triage experience
Knowledge of common complications and treatments for obstetrical complaints
Ability to assist with epidural placement
Strong teamwork approach to patient care

PROCEDURES PERFORMED ON UNIT:

ECV
C-sections
Vaginal deliveries
Assist with vacuum or forceps deliveries as needed
Epidural placement

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

RN License
BLS
ACLS
